Many of us get excited for the New Year and excited for a fresh start. For many of us, it’s refocusing our goals, but for others it may be more than that. Some new year’s resolutions may include saving money, and others may include losing weight by eating healthy, and hitting the gym. How can we combine staying on track with our new year’s resolution, save money, and be healthy all at the same time?
There are free recourses out there that are available for people to take advantage of. Don’t let the idea that finding out about your own health or setting goals for yourself are out of reach. Some of these recourses include discounts on races, support from health professionals, fitness and nutrition calculators, mobile phone apps, newsletters, training logs, and finding the right training plan that works for you. These recourses may help you stay on track with your new year’s resolution, or even on your every day fitness goals!
If you’ve found yourself feeling stuck and need a little nudge of motivation, visit http://www.active.com/fitness/Articles/7-Resources-to-Reach-Your-Fitness-Goals.htm?cmp=17-2-2002 to view some of these helpful recourses and get back on track or to continue to stay active with your goals. Even if you never set a new year’s resolution, just remember that it’s never too late to get started on your health and fitness goals. Being around people that have similar interests and goals is helpful, along with getting the support of family and friends. Having a specific goal is important too. Losing 20 pounds, lifting 20 pounds, or climbing a flight of stairs are some good examples of some fitness goals.
